Cover Reveal, Happily Ever Afterlife Anthology

Writer J. A. Campbell

You all know the classic Russian story of the Firebird. How this beautiful golden bird steals forbidden fruit and then is pursued, captured and sometimes there’s even a talking horse involved. Well, now you can read the real story. Coming in September, 2013 from Untold Press. The Baron and the Firebird in the Happily Ever Afterlife anthology.

Happy Afterlife
At first he couldn’t make out all the details for the bird blazed more golden than his cherries in the faint winter sunlight. Finally, she settled on a branch of his treasured tree. Pyotr wasn’t sure how he knew the bird was female, but there was no question in his mind. She was the size of a small pheasant with long tail feathers that draped behind her like a peacock’s, blazing with golds, oranges, and reds, and looking exactly like a hot fire. She tilted her delicate head and the tuft of…

Broken Prince Book Review

Okay, this is an amazing book, but I’m going to take my time before I write a full review. Why? Because I need to do it justice. Hang on lil ponies, review will be written shortly…

I’m back with a full review 🙂

So, in Broken Aro we’re left with the characters facing a long journey to take Prince back to his homeland. Well, Broken Prince picks up there and the crew is off. BUT! not long after the story begins, there’s devastation. I won’t elaborate, but let me tell you, UGH! my eyes misted over. During their journey, a new character is introduced, and just when you think you will never get over the devastation, you begin to like the new guy…or I wouldn’t say guy, he’s a….

Of course the whole prophecy thing is brought into play when the infuriating Dragon pops in, but being intrigued enough, he actually helps Aro and the others out…a few times. Shocker, I know.

Broken Prince has plenty of action and near death experiences, but it is the potential LOVE story that grabbed me. I’m a sucker for romance. Fey or Elven Prince? I love Kei, but I really, really, REALLY (in case you didn’t get the first really) want Aro and Prince together. But Prince is an arrogant jerk–as most male characters tend to be–and he keeps poor Aro at a distance. Until…

That’s all you get. A brief sneak peak, but not enough to give away important details. Oh, wait! Did you want to know who Aro picks? Here it is….Sucker, lol.

Be sure to pick up your copy today…you will NOT be disappointed.

Fight scene

Sorry I wasn’t able to get this posted last night. It was my 14th wedding anniversary and we had dinner plans…at a fast food place, and then I went home and crashed. I guess being married for 14 years will do that to a person, lol. I’ll post a music video next. Let me know what you think of the fight scene!!!

I felt the hum of electricity course through me, but I held back hoping to throw her at the last minute.

“I’m a little disappointed.” She stalked closer, the light between her hands pulsed between black and electric blue. “I so wanted you to put up more of a fight.”

Suddenly she threw her basketball sized energy toward me. I dodged to the left then sprang back on my feet, ready to use my powers.

“Too slow little girl.” She knocked me back a few feet in the air with the wave of her hand. The impact didn’t hurt too bad, but tiny lights danced in front of my eyes as I tried to get back up. I heard her footsteps coming closer, and the back of my hair was yanked, forcing me to my feet.

“This is boring.” She slammed my head into the ground.
I could do two things, call for backup or kick some ass. I chose the second. Spinning around, I let my energy take hold. My chest heaved and a small trickle of wetness snaked down my face.

I’m having such a great day! I’ve gotten up to 100 likes on my FB author page since launching it last night. So amazing, and now it’s time for a double quote…

*Trinity and Blain*

No, person didn’t really fit–freaking hot god was more like it.

His dark jeans fit low around his hips. The solid black T-shirt provided a nice peek-a-boo at what would show underneath, and when my eyes met his ocean blue ones, I was a goner.

We stared at each other a few more seconds. The breeze outside messed up his wheat colored hair, making him look even hotter.

And one more…

My day was looking up, until he spoke. “Looks like you forgot to brush your hair this morning.” His eyes ran down my body, briefly stopping at my chest, which made me remember I didn’t have a bra on. My breathing increased. “And you should really brush your teeth.” What the hell?

What did y’all think? Send me names, pics of who Blain looks like to you.  Ready…Go!
