Did y’all watch the youtube link I posted before this? No? Well, go listen and then come back and read this interview. 😉

Jen, thanks for chatting with us 😀

Q: I’ve read both Broken Aro and Broken Prince and loved them so much! Do have a particular section you enjoyed writing most?

A: My favorites were the most emotional scenes, the ones between Aro and Kei, and Aro and Prince. I think one of my favorites was in Broken Aro when Kei was trapped in his fury and Aro begged Kei to come back to her and that he would never hurt her.

I LOVE the emotional scenes!

Q: How many books will be in this series?

A: The original plan was three. However… I tend to write a lot and the stories and characters fight me to end, so The Broken Ones could end up being four books. Writing this I’m on Ch 6 of book three, and there is still a lot that needs to happen, so we’ll see!

I can’t decide if I am happy or frustrated with your answer. ~crosses arms over chest~

Q: Do you have a title in mind for the third book? Will there be any new characters to fall in love/hate with?

A: The current possible title is Broken Kei, however it will also depend on if the story finishes with this book or not.

There will be a number of new minor characters, but I’m most excited to introduce the Were king! (I still haven’t decided on a name for him yet. ~sigh~)

I can’t wait to read about the new Were King! I love the idea of the next book being named, Broken Kei. Seems fitting. 😀

Q: So, you are great (maybe a little too great) at putting your characters (Aro) through hell. Will there be the same level of, “holy crap I can’t believe she did that,” in the next installment to this awesome series?

A: Um…yes. I hope so. This book has a lot more about Kei and what he’s going through (even though it is still from Aro’s POV)

On a happy note, I am planning some ‘good’ things to happen to certain characters too, and that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Well, crap! Not sure what to think? Hurry up and write this darn book, woman!

Q: Do your character reflect any people close to you? If so, who?

A: Aro has a bit of me in her, and Kei and Prince both reflect a bit of a certain someone special to me. For the most part my characters create themselves and I don’t really base them off of anyone.

Cool!

Q: I’m a total romance junkie, what genre of books do you prefer reading?

A: Fantasy, paranormal etc… preferably with romance! I’m a sucker for romance. I also love a good evil character (or bad boy).

Who doesn’t love a good, bad boy.

Q: Outside of writing, what do you do?

A: Edit. Market. Spend too much time on Facebook. Talk to my sweetie. I read a lot. Of course this is all between being a Mom. I Love my boys!

Q: What time of day do you prefer to write?

A: Evenings, though lately I’ve been having some luck in the morning (after a few cups of coffee of course)

Coffee is a must here, too.

Q: What type of music do you listen to and do you have to have it playing while writing?

A: I can’t listen to music WHILE I write. I need quiet. However, I plan out scenes in my head before time, kind of like a movie in my head, and then write it down. The ‘movie’ ideas I often get from music, the tone of the scene,  or sometimes a line of lyrics will give me an idea for a scene or a character.

Ooh! Movie scenes! For The Broken Ones…

***Spoiler Alert***

Q: I love Aro! She’s such a strong and amazing character. BUT! I think what we mouthwatering fans want to know is, will she and Prince find their way back together? What about Kei? He’s such a great friend…but there were times when I held my breath and wondered if he would move out of the infamous friend zone. Can you give us a teeny, tiny, itsy bitsy little hint?

A: Hmm… what to say and not give everything away. This is hard since I’m not done the book either, LOL. Currently in my head… part of the prophecy will be Aro must make a choice. As the story progresses the reader will see why this will be so difficult for her.

~sigh~ No big news of Aro and Prince, but I’m crossing my fingers and toes this said ‘choice’ Aro must make will have to do with Prince (and in a good way).

Q: What will you be releasing next?

A: Hopefully, my next release will be my Tales of Ever novella series, re-edited, new cover and bundled together. 

YAY! I’m super excited to read the ‘updated’ series. Thank you for sharing your great news with us.
