Indie-rocker Bo Lindgren is worshiped for his looks and musical genius. It’s been lonely at the top since his ex left. Bo will never take a girlfriend again though, because he doesn’t have the chops to love. He knows he’s poison, a heartbreak waiting to happen for anyone he allows too close—like his ex. Bo screws his way through the fangirls until he’s sick of it all. Until the dark gaze of Nadia Vidal appears in the door to his dressing room.
Saved from an arranged marriage by Jude, the love of her life, Nadia eloped and got married at nineteen. But now, two years later, life is wilted, dead, and not what anyone should have to endure.
Nadia, with her secret-keeper eyes and instant understanding of who Bo is, attracts and fascinates him without even trying. The ring gleaming on her finger should keep them apart, but morals can’t always resist destiny.
When brokenhearted meets heartbreaker, whose heart is really at stake?
*Standalone novel. Contains explicit language, sex, and emotions.*
*5 Alien Star Review*
I love Bo and Nadia’s dance, it’s slow and intense, and I had a terrible feeling this book would leave me utterly devastated in the end. Well, the end came, and I found myself a complete mess. Nadia’s sad backstory made me want to protect her from hurting any more than she already had. When Bo entered the picture I held my breath, not sure if he would break her or heal her. Turned out, Bo and Nadia were both broken but learn to build something between each other I didn’t see coming. Sunniva Dee writes with tender compassion. Walking Heartbreak is by far my favorite Sunniva Dee has written, and I look forward to devouring her next book!

Along with giving books and gift cards away, I revealed the first chapter of Interception, Distraction 3! You’ve all been so supportive, and I wanted everyone the chance to get a sneak peek, so here it is. Please keep in mind this has NOT been professionally edited.
Tristan slid his fingertips down my bare skin to rest on the curve of my hip.
“Time to get up,” he whispered, pressing his chest against my back, warming me against the early morning chill.
“Five more minutes.” I yawned, and Tristan chuckled.
“Long night?” The hand on my hip sloped down to my stomach. Using his palm, Tristan tugged, fitting me against him. I squirmed, and a fire burned away whatever cold remained.
It’d been a while since he’d touched me like this, freely, without a new lacy undergarment tempting him. I wanted him so bad.
“Tristan,” I moaned as he massaged the sensitive mound between my thighs. I spread my legs wider, allowing him full access.
“Thought you were tired,” he said as his lips danced across my skin.
I wiggled. Tristan hissed through clenched teeth as I pressed my ass into his hardness. “Changed my mind.” I reached behind me and weaved my fingers through his thick hair.
Tristan nipped at my neck while the rhythm of his hand drove me wild, adding to the building pleasure between my legs.
“What, spud?” He slowed his pace, removing his finger from my nub, denying my climax.
Peeping over my shoulder, I found a sexy smirk on his face.
Tristan said, “Tell me what you want.” He pulled his fingers out, leaving my swollen clit throbbing. I whimpered at the loss.
“I want you.” I rolled onto my back to see him clearly. Escaped light filtered in through the cracks in the blinds, revealing the desire darkening his golden brown eyes. “I want you inside me. Plea—”
Tristan’s lips crashed into mine, his tongue claiming my mouth. A shudder ran through me the instant we connected—the moment he possessed my body.
Okay, I’ve been in my cave editing and writing, and looks like I’ll be there until the end of June. But that’s good news, guys! Means I’m almost finished with three projects! 🙂 Speaking of, remember that secret project I mentioned a while back? Well, it has a title… ready to hear it? Gypsy Love! Fellow author Lynn Vroman and I collaborated and came up with a great story we hope to share with you all soon. There’s more, Gypsy Love is part of something bigger, but those details are still under construction. Should have more to share soon! However, I’ll leave you with a teaser. Enjoy ❤

Now on to my 5 Alien Star review of Adrenaline by Sunniva Dee!
Holy shit this book is amazing! Sunniva totally outdid herself with Adrenaline! This story is golden! I mean you feel so much: Passion, Raw Emotion, Humor, Sadness, and Love. Man, love and heartache drips from every page! Cam is playful and totally reminds me of a big teddy bear. He’s not extreme sports, like jumps without thinking. He scared the crap out of my a few times. Ingela is so freaking funny! She’s from Sweden and her English slang is so off at times you can’t help but laugh your ass off. Together these two steam up the page. Their chemistry is off the charts, but so is Ingela and Bo…. Enter another hottie! There isn’t really a love-triangle here, but, um, yeah. I can’t give anymore details or it’ll give the entire book away. Sorry, charlie 😉 You experience so many highs and lows, but it’s worth every bit of your time.
So I always relate my stories with songs, and two came to mind while reading Adrenaline: Florida Georgia Line’s Sipping On Fire (Cam’s song) and Taylor Swift’s Style (Bo’s song)! I’ve added each video below ❤
Life’s the shit!
Chicks squeal over how wild and yummy I am, play their silly games trying to tie me down. But I’m free as a bird, doing what makes life life: kicking extreme-sport-ass!
I base jump, snowboard, bungee jump. I do anything for the rush.
Then, Ingela blows into town for college—a cool Swedish blast of trouble. Foulmouthed and runway-gorgeous, the girl seeps in like poison and melts the freaking brain.
To Ingela I am what chicks were to me: pastime, leisure, entertainment, pleasure. She’s killing me, and I’m digging it. There’s a new rush in town! Yeah, I hunt down my highs, and now the chase is on. I’ll catch her soon enough, just, what’s the deal with her ex?
Florida Georgia Line’s Sippin’ On Fire
With Ingela, sex is a dance. A slow tango where skin flows over skin. It is slick readiness, a quiet welcome. It’s smooth, warm, right, and all wrong.
On and off. On and off. Again, she’s wrecked with grief. It’s a reminder of how I destroy her, how crushed relationships shouldn’t be revived.
We’ve done this for years, now, but clearly we’re in for more.
Taylor Swift’s Style
Okay, so I’m gonna try really hard to write a post once a week. Try… I’ve been busy, swear! I’m editing Hope’s Deceit (The Fated, #2) while writing Interception (Distraction, #3)—plan to have Interception finished at the end of April, so feel free to pester me until it’s done 😉
I got some reading in, too! So excited!! Love Always, Kate, Leon’s Way, and Lost Energy were such fantastic reads and the authors are super sweet. Anyone ready to tackle Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens? Man, I can’t wait to jump back into Kellan Kyle’s world. *fans self* But before I read Thoughtful I plan to finish Jennifer Armentrout’s Origin (so sad the series is over, which is why I haven’t read this yet) and on to Taking Chances by Molly McAdams (OMG! I actually met her! Super sweet!). What’s on y’alls reading list? I’d love suggestions on what to read next ❤
All right, off to edit and write. See everyone again next week. Don’t be strangers, and check out my reviews below! 😀
Last spring, Lena discovered who she was.
Now all she wants to do is move on—and find a way to be with Tarek, the new Warden of Arcus and the love of her life. Even though worlds separate them now, she holds onto the hope they’ll be together again. Until then, Lena focuses on being truly happy for the first time in her life…this life. She has new friends, an apartment free from her abusive father, and the chance to live a normal life.
But for Lena, the past never stays gone.
A woman from another lifetime reveals Cassondra, Exemplian’s new authority commander, is seeking revenge against Tarek for killing her brother. There is only one way to end this new threat…
This time, it will take more than Wilma to keep the monsters away. It’ll take an entire army–an army who remembers Lena from her past life, and who might just want her dead, too.
Lena’s past will shape her future more than she could ever imagine.

Kick ass book! Full review once released, but damn, so good! I’m late, but here is my full review. I loved Lost more than Tainted Energy. The story is fast paced and filled with more action. However, I don’t enjoy a book unless it has romance, so let’s cut to the good part 😉 Lena and Tarek aren’t together, but he’s able to talk to her every night. OMG! So sad, but sweet at the same time. He misses her and she him, of course. Reading the angst was more than enough to keep me flipping page after page. I HAD to know if they got their happy ending….
Aside from Lena and Tarek, Vroman’s side characters shine, too! I mean to write so well that it makes me care about what happens to someone else in the book, is a gift. Details below…
Remember Belva from Tainted? The asshole chick turned Lena’s best-friend. She’s actually a pretty cool person. What about Ferran? He’s the Protector, who at the end of Tainted was sent to watch over Lena since Tarek was stuck in Arcus. Anyway, Belva and Ferran spark up a nice little romance! I LOVED the banter between them. They totally made me laugh and blush the entire time.
Lost isn’t rainbows and sunshine. Lena’s on a mission to make up for her past, and to do that she learns more than she wants to. Trust and determination push Lena and when the end came, I was shocked. The book finishes with one hell of a cliffhanger! UGH! Can’t wait to read where Vroman takes her characters in Fractured Energy!
I think if you enjoy SiFi, action, different worlds, and romance, then you’ll love Lynn Vroman’s Energy Series!
I’m Leon , number one object of Deepsilver’s rumor mill. Owner of student hotspot, Smother.
Since I was sixteen, the world has been mine. I do everything—
Every co-ed in town clenches her thighs over me, but most don’t fit the bill. See, I like my girls broken . Once I detect my shade of don’t-give-a-fuck damaged, I fight hard, I fight dirty, and I don’t give up until—
Drunk fathers and frequent beatings don’t merit attention, but when my despicable dad starts the process of croaking, I’m forced to remember. Thus, the downward spiral begins: my latest broken-girl turns the tables on me and splits. My hot-as-hell employee, Arriane, throws me the curve ball of a lifetime. And suddenly—
I’m out of control.
But at the center of my chaos, she exists. Always close, always sweet, and so beautifully fucking… wholesome. She represents everything I’ve shied from in a woman. Still—
I crave her.
I’m Leon, and I don’t deny my cravings. Just—this girl is not surrendering. So here I am, fighting harder. Fighting dirtier. And goddammit all, I will—

A great book keeps me glued to my seat until the end, and Leon’s Way did just that! The characters made laugh, yell, and cry. A roller coaster of emotions filled with highs and lows, but so worth every minute it took to reach the finish line. Leon captured my interest from the beginning, and OMG was he hot! LEON: A sexy, smart, fun-loving, wild and broken mess of a man. Arriane: A hard working, responsible, smart, independent woman secretly in love with her boss. Leon and Arrianne’s life changes on New Year’s Eve… One night full of fire makes for a heck of a story! Trust me, Leon’s Way isn’t for the faint of heart, this book is for people who love angst!
Leukemia’s been my life since I was eleven. Now, six years later, I want my life back. Only I’m not sure what that is.
The test results came back today. 22,000. Which means I’m officially out of remission—again.
I have three options:
1. Another round of chemo.
2. A super-new experimental drug.
3. Dump it all— forget the meds and treatments and enjoy the time I have left.
I think I know what I want.
Then, in walks Damian, changing everything.
I mean, everything.
He’s got his own set of issues. It binds us together, you know? We understand what it’s like to lose what matters most in seconds.
Still, the last thing I need is to have someone else to crush if I can’t fight hard enough. And the last thing he needs is someone else to grieve.
Never mind. I’m down to two options now.
Somehow I know that whichever one I choose, the result will be the same. With the sand in my hourglass seeping to the bottom, I hope there’s enough left to show Damian that life’s worth living. Worth fighting for.
Worth dying for.

Love Always, Kate isn’t a quick read. It’s the type of book you take in slowly. Read each page carefully, soaking up every emotion King throws your way. I fully expected to wipe my eyes a few times… I didn’t expect to feel so much that I couldn’t STOP crying. UGH! I hate reviews. I want to tell you why I hated and loved Damian. Say why I ached to take Kate and her parents pain away… but I can’t. Love Always, Kate is a book you have to read in order to experience its greatness: happiness, longing, torture, love. The characters are well developed and realistic in their flaws. The story never slows or drags, but rather keeps moving at a steady pace. You see each scene as if it were on the big screen. Fantastic job, D. Nichole King! I can’t wait to read more 🙂 AND! Eight Days (A Love Always, Kate novella) is out! I’m dying to jump into that. On King’s FB page, she mentioned a book2: Love Always, Damian. OMG! Yeah, I totally need to stock up on Kleenex. Hope you enjoyed ❤
Friend and follow author Evan Grace has stopped by today to answer a few questions about her journey to writing and more. Be sure to keep reading for my 5 Alien Star Review of her book, Second Chances 😉
In my non-writing life I’m a scheduler in a large homecare agency. My day for that job starts at about 4:15 in the morning and I work till about six. I get me and my kids ready and out the door by 7:30. I work in the office from 8:15-3:15 and from there go burn off some stress at the gym. I then go home take care of the kids and hubby.
Having a full-time day job doesn’t give me a whole lot of time to write so sometimes I do at work when there’s downtime. I usually try to write on my lunch break and for at least a couple of hours at night. The weekend is my time to usually hit it hard.
Realizing about writing…
I realized I wanted to write about 6 1/2 years ago. I had begun reading a lot and I had this story that started going on in my head and a friend of mine encouraged me to start writing it. I haven’t stopped since.
When did you begin writing?
I actually began writing about 6 years ago.
Wow, good question. Julie Garwood For the Roses, Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers series, Dean Koontz Odd Thomas, Maya Banks Be with Me.
Hmmmm….There are probably too many to list. Whether it’s friends, family, musicians and other writers, I’m influenced by everything and everyone around me.
How long to write Second Chances?
It took me almost a year to write this book. Originally she was going to end up with Dylan, but the whole brother thing wasn’t sitting well with me. I would start to take the story in a certain direction and Stacy would scream at me that it wasn’t working 🙂 I’m glad though because I love that story so much!!
Where do I get my ideas?
I get them from a song that ends up being a part of the soundtrack, or someone will say something and I’ll think, “hey that’d be a good story”
Most important part…
Stacy’s body issues is important because too many of us have them. I wanted everyone to find her relatable and how Dustin was able to get her to see how beautiful she was inside and out.
How many novels do I have planned for series?
I just finished Cash’s story(he’s Journey’s brother from book 3, Begin Again)I plan on doing at least 2 more full stories or Novella’s. No spin-off as of yet, but you never know. My favorite has to be which ever one I’m writing at the time, which sounds lame, but it’s the truth.
My journey to publication has been long and at times painful 😦
Starting Over got rejected by EVERYONE!!! I started submitting it to publishers three years ago and everyone passed. I had one publisher who said maybe so I did some rewrites and they still said no. They didn’t want all of the secondary characters in there and wanted to see it as a novella. I just couldn’t do it. So last December I sent it to the last publisher I was going to try, which was Limitless. If they said no I was going to possibly think about self-publishing. Right before Christmas my bestie asked if I had heard from them and as soon as she said it, my phone dinged. I checked my email and it was a email from Jennifer, the president telling me they were going to publish my series. I immediately started bawling and couldn’t believe it. I’ve been writing non-stop ever since.
Coming up projects!
Like I said I just finished book 4 in my Starting Over series. I’m working on a new standalone romance and I’ve got lots of stories that I’ll be starting next year. I can’t wait!
Advise for aspiring writers ❤
Write, Write, Write. Write what you love to read and find your voice. I tried to emulate one of my favorite authors and the book was garbage. Write for you, if you try to please everyone you’ll only be unhappy.
A Midwesterner and self-proclaimed nerd, Evan has been an avid reader most of her life, but five years ago got bit by the writing bug, and it quickly became her addiction, passion and therapy. When the voices in her head give it a rest, she can always be found with her e-reader in her hand. Some of her favorites include, Shayla Black, Jaci Burton, Madeline Sheehan and Jamie Mcguire. Evan finds a lot of her inspiration in music, so if you see her wearing her headphones you know she means business and is in the zone.
During the day Evan works for a large homecare agency and at night she’s superwoman. She’s a wife to Jim and a mom to Ethan and Evan, a cook, a tutor, a friend and a writer. How does she do it? She’ll never tell.
❤ SECOND CHANCES REIVEW ❤
5 ALIEN STARS:
The Stacy, Dustin, and Mark extravaganza began, and what a wild ride it turned out to be! Second Chances is a thrilling story and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Mrs. Grace has a way with adding action, intrigue, and passion into her characters that make them seem so real. No spoilers, but I am so happy with the way Mrs. Grace wrapped up Stacy and Dustin’s story. Bravo! Now I’m off to read book 3, Begin Again!
❤ STARTING OVER REIVEW ❤
4.5 ALIEN STARS:
Starting Over is sexy new adult romance you won’t want to miss! The characters story tugged at my heart until the end. I simply wanted more and can’t wait to sink my teeth in the next story, Second Chances. Firstly, I read Starting Over in one afternoon. Secondly, The sex was hot, and the tension between these characters left me breathless from one page to the next. In the end, I found Luke’s ‘hesitancy’ to be a bit over-the-top, but over all this was a fun, quick read.
So, a quick run through: Bellamy, an adoring little sister falls hopelessly in love with Luke, her big brothers best friend. As much as he hates to admit it, Luke has watched Bellamy grow into a beautiful woman and one mind-blowing night together changes everything…
Years later, Bellamy finds herself back in the same town with the only man she’s ever loved. Bellamy’s life was never the same after they made love for the first and only time that night. His rejection, along with her broken secret continues to haunt her, still.
Luke thought after seeing Bellamy one last time he’d be able to get her out of his system, only he finds he can’t let her go instead. A push and pull relationship built on broken hearts, secrets and fear threatens their happily ever after.
Can Bellamy trust Luke again and in the end, will Luke be able to forgive her?
Senior year is supposed to be fun: boys, dances and graduation. It’s significantly harder to enjoy it when you’re dead.
Thanks to an innocent game of Truth or Dare, I wound up sleeping in a graveyard. Probably not the brightest thing I’ve ever done, but thanks to a couple of well-placed fangs, I’m here to tell the tale.
Vampires might stalk pop culture, but they’re just myths, right? Yeah. Not so much…
Everything seems a lot more difficult when you’re a nocturnal creature of the night, especially school. I was managing, but couldn’t keep it hidden from my friends. Steph decided that we should be cool, like superheroes, and fight crime.
I’m a vampire, not a hero. Living in a sleepy New England town, crime is a little harder to come by. At least it is until a serial killer moves into the area. He’s got the authorities stumped, but then again, the cops don’t have a teenage, blood-sucking, non-hero on their team. It doesn’t take long for me to discover the world is full of monsters. I may be one of them…but will I turn out to be the hero, or the killer everyone is looking for.
5 Alien Stars
It’s been a bit since I’ve read a book dealing with vampires, but I’m glad I got to read this one. Senior Year Bites is a fun read. A fresh take on vampires and other supernatural creatures. Meg is a vampire, only she doesn’t know how she got that way. Say what!? Yeah, I told you it was a fresh take. So, sunlight irritates the crap outta her, no she doesn’t sparkle and yes she likes blood. The journey begins in the beginning of the story, so no hashing through crap in order to get to the good stuff… so to speak.
Meg worries her friends will think her nuts’o and yes, they kind of do. But being awesome pals, they stick by her side, helping her figure out who changed her into a vamp. During this time, people are being killed and a strange guy seems to know more about her than she does. (Freaky) Meg and her friends run into a ton of danger along the way. The end is left open, allowing room for a second book. I can’t wait to see where Meg and pals end up!
The Vanishing Girl (The Vanishing Girl, #1)
Author: Laura Thalassa
***New Adult Science Fiction/Fantasy***
Every night after Ember Pierce falls asleep, she disappears. She can teleport anywhere in the world—London, Paris, her crush’s bedroom—wherever her dreams lead her. Ten minutes is all she gets, and once time’s up, she returns to her bed. It’s a secret she’s successfully kept for the last five years. But now someone knows.
A week after her eighteenth birthday, when frustratingly handsome Caden Hawthorne captures her, delivers her to the government, and then disappears before her eyes, Ember realizes two things: One, she is not alone. And two, people like her—teleporters—are being used as weapons.
Dragged off to a remote facility where others like her live, Ember’s forced to pair up with her former captor, Caden, to learn how to survive inside until she can escape. Only Caden’s making escape seem less and less appealing.
But even as Ember falls for the boy who got her into this mess, she knows that she is running out of time. Because the government has plans for those like her, and those plans might just cost Ember her life.
5 Alien star Review:
The Vanishing Girl is a mix between dystopian’s ruthless The Hunger Games and the amazing alien world from The Lux Series. I seriously fell in love with Laura Thalassa’s Unearthly series and after reading The Vanishing Girl, she has now been selected as one of my must-buy-regardless-of-genre authors. *yikes, that’s a mouthful*
Let’s get on with the story. So, we have Ember, a young 18yr. old who, at the start of puberty, flashes to different places the second she falls to sleep. These flashes last approx.10min, but long enough to cause potential problems. Ember never knew why she had this crazy ability, until the government knocks on her door.
Let’s skip to the hot guy, and when I say hot, I mean like holy shit, he is lick worthy hot! So, Ember is taken away by government officials to be trained and partnered up with her pair, Caden.
Caden is a smart-mouthed, egotistical…sweetheart, who could totally kill you in a heartbeat. Caden attempts to explain why Ember is being held in a government institution and why they were made for the other, but she doesn’t buy it.
Ember is thrown into one training session after another, all the while government officials are keeping dangerous tabs on her progress. Once Ember has reached a specific level of readiness, she and Caden are given their first lethal assignment.
Ember wants out. She wants her friends, family, and life back. Escape is the only solution. Problem is, she never expected to fall for Caden. Now, Ember has to decide if freedom is more important than the sole person designed to be her other half?
OMG! I hate writing reviews for one reason, I always say too much and leave little to potential readers imagination. Basically, I suck ass at keeping secrets. O_O The Vanishing Girl is awesome, but is left in one hell of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read what happens next in this series! Eeeeep!
Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back
“Do you remember the hospital, Colton?” Sonja said. “Yes, mommy, I remember,” he said. “That’s where the angels sang to me.”
When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed–a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.
Colton, not yet four years old, told his parents he left his body during the surgery-and authenticated that claim by describing exactly what his parents were doing in another part of the hospital while he was being operated on. He talked of visiting heaven and relayed stories told to him by people he met there whom he had never met in life, sharing events that happened even before he was born. He also astonished his parents with descriptions and obscure details about heaven that matched the Bible exactly, though he had not yet learned to read.
With disarming innocence and the plainspoken boldness of a child, Colton tells of meeting long-departed family members. He describes Jesus, the angels, how “really, really big” God is, and how much God loves us. Retold by his father, but using Colton’s uniquely simple words, “Heaven Is for Real” offers a glimpse of the world that awaits us, where as Colton says, “Nobody is old and nobody wears glasses.”
“Heaven Is for Real” will forever change the way you think of eternity, offering the chance to see, and believe, like a child.

Heaven Is For Real…right? I’ve never questioned if heaven is real before, but so many others do. Regardless, this is my thoughts, my heart on Heaven Is For Real.
So, here’s the background: Before I read the book…Two years, while stuck in yet another airport, (I have terrible luck when it comes to catching my scheduled flight) I decided to check out their book store. I came across Heaven Is For Real, picked the book up and bought it. Afterward I had that, ‘I did a good thing’ feeling. You know, like when you offer an elderly man/woman your seat in a seatless room. Anyway, so I grabbed the book but didn’t end up reading it. When I got home, I tossed the paperback on my coffee table and forgot about it. Well, not really….do you ever get a feeling that someone is watching you? Well, that’s how I felt every time I looked at this book, just sitting on my coffee table. I wanted to read it, only I did’t want to go there. But I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind telling me I really needed to read this book. However, I continued to ignore the silly voice in my head. So, the book continued to sit.
A week ago (now two weeks because I suck at writing reviews and blogging) I learned this book was coming to the big screen! I watched the trailer and instant goosebumps formed on my arms. Seriously. No joke. I chatted with a few friends who’d read the book and they all said, “Oh, you’re going to love it. It’s a super fast read. You’ll finish it in one evening.”
Still didn’t read the book.
During the read: So, it’s Easter weekend, my favorite holiday and I decided to buy tickets to watch Heaven Is For Real. Yup, it’s so gonna happen, and that’s what I did. I booked our tickets for Sunday evening and figured I’d sit down and read. So, third page into the prologue and my eyes are watering. I continued reading and the next thing I knew, I’d read over half the book. Yeah, I guess you could say I was hooked.
Below I quoted a couple of my favorite parts:
“I think God knows where he puts our children, in each family,” Mrs. Kramarik said. I remembered what Jesus told his disciples one day when they were trying to keep some kids from ‘bothering’ him: “Let the little children come to me.” I made a mental note for future sermons: Akianie’s story showed that God can reach anyone, anywhere, at any age—even a preschool girl in a home where his name had never been spoken.
“You said you went to heaven. People have to die to go to heaven.”
Colton’s gaze didn’t waver. “Well, okay then, I died. But just for a little bit.” My heart skipped a beat. If you haven’t heard your preschooler tell you he was dead, I don’t recommend it.
I’ve already said I cried while reading Heaven Is For Real, but I laughed, too…and then freaking cried again, and sometimes while laughing.
Skeptics, or people who’ve been ‘turned off’ from God may look at this book/review and think: Yeah, good try. This is simply another persons attempt to make me feel guilty for one reason or another. God isn’t about guilt or hate or any other assortment of inadequacies. God is love.
Heaven Is For Real is a great representation of how much you are loved. Pointing fingers or accusations from family or friends is wrong. No one is out of His reach. No one person has the ability to take His grace away from you. No one is perfect, but His love, kindness, and forgiveness is.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ~2 Corinthians 1:3

There’s an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he’s hot…until he opens his mouth. He’s infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
