Eek! Congrats @jlarsonauthor!
Today is the day! I’m so stoked and happy to share author buddy, Jodie Larson’s, latest release: Notes From the Past. This book is so great. The lead guy, Myles, is a jerk and his blast from the past, Taylor, brings him down a notch or two. Love. It! Check it out today 🙂
I love women.
And it’s easy to see why. Being the lead guitarist for the country’s hottest band, Lightning Strikes, has them practically jumping into my bed and walking out the door just as quick. Which is perfect for me. Emotions complicate things, and I don’t do complicated.
Not anymore.
Sure, I was in love once, and it was great. Then it was gone. That’s when I vowed never again. Life is better without empty, broken promises.
After five years of hard work, sacrifices, and determination, everything I’ve ever wanted is in my grasp: a successful career, touring city after city and being accountable to no one.
Then she starts appearing in the crowds. The girl I once loved, and who walked away.
Only, Tatum Mitchell wasn’t just any girl; she was my girl.
Will she be the wedge that drives the last part of my heart away, or will she break down the walls I’ve built? We’re connected through the lyrics of our heart and the notes of our past, but is that enough?

February Book Recommendations!
This. Book. I can’t give enough praise for A Court of Mist and Fury–this is book 2 just so we are clear. Sarah J. Maas has moved to my top 10 favorite authors, and this book is THE top 2017 read so far! The story grabbed me from the start, and I seriously didn’t want to stop until I was done. Romance, on man!!! If you find yourself rooting for the bad guy, like I often do, then this book will hook you. Gah! There are action, twists, and turns, and did I mention romance? Yeah, so it’s a slow-build romance, but oh my word is it worth it.
Be sure to start with book 1, A Court of Thorn and Roses! …so many things happen in book one, which makes it a great story, but book 2 is what really made me a fan of Maas.
Sexy, hot-headed leading man Collin paired with a feisty leading lady Addison, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a read. I think the publisher compared this to Three Men and A Baby–which is what really got my attention. I loved the friendship the three former Marines shared, and the love they had for Chloe, Collin’s daughter. There’s just something about men taking care of a baby that makes me feel all warm inside. So, Reckless Hearts is a fast read and had I not had plans the entire weekend, I would’ve finished reading it in one sitting.
For a debut novel, I was super impressed with Curic’s ability to reel me in and keep me interested. I’m a sucker for sports romances, obviously, so I had high expectations. Glad to say I wasn’t disappointed. Eva is witty, funny, and a little broken. Rob is goofy, hot, and even though he knows what he wants, circumstances get in the way. Two smart people are drawn to the other yet can’t seem to see what’s right in front of them? Yeah, roller-coaster of awesome right there. I haven’t read book 2, Second Down because I’m waiting for book 3, Third and Long to come out, but I’ll keep you posted!
So… I read this book after reading ACoMaF, and while the story was slow to start, I ended up enjoying this book for what it is: A Young Adult book. I thought the story was sweet and clean, and I’d allow my 14-year-old (if she enjoyed reading) to read it. It’s a nice, relaxing story.
Love is a risk worth taking ~The Siren, Kiera Cass
More Books to Check Out on Goodreads ❤
Other books I’ve enjoyed are:
A few friends and I did a group read of The Dark Elements Series by Jennifer Armentrout: White Hot Kiss, Stone Cold Touch, and Every Last Breath. My expectations were high because I absolutely fluved The Lux Series, and while no one has yet to live up to Daemon Black, Roth, The Crown Prince of Darkness did one hell of a job keeping me interested 😉
Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa. This is a New Adult Paranormal Romance that I think fans of Sarah Maas would enjoy. Strange Hymn, Book 2 comes out later this year!
For those who enjoy a lot of spice in your life, I did get to enjoy an early read of Smutty Little Secrets by Vivienne Hunt.

Valentines Day ❤
What’s up next for me?
In addition to writing New Adult Romance, I also have fun diving into the paranormal realm. With that said, I’m currently tying up Hope’s Defeat, the final book in my Young Adult Paranormal Romance series. I’m not a super fast writer, so I don’t know when this book will be finished, but I promise to keep everyone up to date as the story progresses.
For fans of Trinity and Blain, here is a short excerpt I wrote the other night. Remember, this is subject to change during final edits, but since it’s been a while I want to leave you with proof that I am working. 😉
Hope’s Defeat,
The Fated 3
Blain
I maneuvered around Trinity’s attack until her body heat brushed with mine, then I froze. The static between us a living, breathing entity.
“I hate you,” she shouted.
“I love you,” I answered, honestly.
She urged me forward with a wave of her fingers, and stupidly, I obliged.
My shoulder stung. “You hit like a girl.” Another hit, but the blow not as intense. Only a breath away, I stopped and watched her. Anger flashed right before hurt colored in her honey eyes.
“I’m sorry,” I confessed.
“I hate you,” she whispered.
Cupping her face, I ran my thumb across her chapped lips. “No, you don’t.” Before logic won, I stole what was no longer mine.
Eek! I cannot wait to finish this story and the best part? I’m having so much fun writing it.
In closing, to everyone who signed up for an ARC of Interception and have already posted your review, thank you so much! I work on the honor system, so I won’t bug you, but if you received an ARC and hadn’t gotten a chance to add your review, I’d really appreciate your support. ❤
